Nothing will give you baby smooth and hair-free skin better than waxing. And, if done correctly, waxing doesn't have to be painful.
The good news is that the more you wax, the regrowth hair will come in less and finer.
Use these tips to get the job done better, faster and more comfortably.
- Regardless of the area of the body that you are waxing, cleanliness matter. In fact, the combination of body oils and bacteria is usually the cause of irritation, redness and break out that follow the waxing.
- You need a small about of regrown in order for the hair to be pulled out.
- Patting or lightly rubbing the area after removing the wax will help with the stinging sensation. Also the tighter the skin area, the less pain you will feel.
- If you aren't using a kit that comes with removal strips, muslin cloth works great.
- Start with a mild exfoliation of the area and be sure to rinse thoroughly with clean warm water.
- Apply a very light coat of non-mineral oil on the skin as desired. This is helpful when doing more sensitive areas.
After Care
- Use an anti-bacterial lotion that is alcohol free. Gold Bond makes a medication lotion that contains aloe and vitamins E and B5 to relieve itch and irritation.
- Avoid lotions with perfumes, which will irritate the skin.
- Avoid tanning indoors or out within the first few hours after waxing.
